Data Collection

Save2Plaud collects and processes the following data:

• Plaud authentication token — Stored locally in your browser to access your Plaud account. Never transmitted to any third party.
• YouTube video captions — Extracted from YouTube pages you visit and sent directly to your Plaud account.
• Apple Podcasts transcripts — Extracted from Apple Podcasts pages you visit and sent directly to your Plaud account.
• Spotify transcripts — Extracted from Spotify pages you visit and sent directly to your Plaud account.
• Payment information — Subscription and payment data is collected and processed entirely by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card or billing details.

Data Storage

• All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API.
• No data is stored on our servers. We do not operate any servers.

Third-Party Services

• Plaud API (api.plaud.ai) — Your transcripts are sent to your own Plaud account.
• YouTube (youtube.com) — Captions are fetched from YouTube's public APIs.
• Apple Podcasts (podcasts.apple.com) — Transcripts are fetched from Apple Podcasts pages.
• Spotify (spotify.com) — Transcripts are fetched from Spotify pages.
• Paddle (paddle.com) — Used as our Merchant of Record for subscription management and payment processing. Please refer to Paddle's Privacy Policy for details.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties, except as necessary for payment processing through Paddle.
